A groundbreaking history
We are proud to maintain a historical legacy that dates back to 1929, when we established the first pediatric Neurology Dubai. children’s hospital and where pediatric neurosurgery was first practiced. Later, we established the nation’s first pediatric epilepsy unit (1944), the first comprehensive pediatric sleep center (1978) and the first dedicated pediatric neurocritical care program (1996).
Collaborative, patient-centered care
Because neurological conditions can be complex, it is critical to have a specialized care team that includes consultants, nurses, nurse practitioners, geneticists, social workers and pharmacists who understand the intricacies of these conditions. We work with specialists from a variety of departments to ensure that each child receives the best possible treatment.
Many of our clinics, including Neurology hospital in Dubai, epilepsy and neurosurgery, are located on two floors in the Fegan Building and in Boston Children’s satellite offices. Our Neurosciences Patient Advisory Committee provides invaluable input to improve the experience of our families. Although we draw on the knowledge of many experts, families are our best partners in treatment.
Focus on quality
Our team is committed to providing the best possible experience for our patients. This includes knowing how our patients are doing and recording the results in a quality control database. We use this data for research and share it with respected organizations like the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group and the National Healthcare Safety Network to continuously improve the care we provide to our patients.
A reputation built on research and innovation
Our team is dedicated to the ongoing pursuit of innovative care based on the latest research, much of which we conduct in our own laboratories. Our innovative neuroscience research program is unique in the United States.
We use the latest surgical innovations, such as 3-D printing and minimally invasive techniques, to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. Our dedicated neurocritical care program uses the latest technologies and techniques to protect the brain during surgery.
