This update includes a known issue:
After you install this update (KB4495666), users may experience a “0x800705b4” error when you run Windows Defender Application Guard or Windows Sandbox. As a workaround, you can enable the following registry keys on Host OS and restart:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Containers \ CmService \ Policy]
“DisableClone” = dword: 00000001
“DisableSnapshot” = dword: 00000001
Update 4/8: We have released Build 18362.30 to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview loop.
Update 4/4: We have released Build 18362.30 (KB4497464) to Windows Insiders in fast and slow loops. If you update to Build 18356.21 – this structure will be provided. Building 18362.30 includes the following fixes:
We have fixed a problem that AAD users can not log on after updating to 19H1 on a computer that is connected to AAD that is not registered with MDM.
Fixed a problem that users can not enable / disable the .NET Framework or another on-demand feature (FODs) after installing the latest cumulative updates.
We have fixed a problem if the user’s personal computer is in a non-bootable state after you install the cumulative update and then install an optional on-demand feature (FOD).
Update 4/2: We released Build 18356.21 (KB4496796) to Windows Insiders in the slow loop that is currently on Build 18356.16. This update will bring people who are aware of Build 18356.16 back to good condition so they can update to Build 18362. We allow a few days for this update to be released before Build 18362 – meaning that insiders will not see Build 18362 displayed after the update to build 18356.21. But wait!
Update 3/29: We have enabled the Windows Update Explorer for Windows Insiders experiment in the slow loop. This means that in order to receive Build 18362, you will need to go to Settings> Update and Security> Windows Update and click the “Check for updates” button where the software will not be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update. This experience will only be shown to insiders who do not come from Build 18356.16 – see our note from 3/26 below.
Update 3/26: During the last two weeks, slow loop workers receive new 19H1 designs as well as cumulative updates. After Flight Build 18362 to Slow Episode on Friday, Insiders started reporting their inability to complete the update. We have detected a problem in cumulative update Build 18356.16 (KB4494123) that prevented the update to Build 18362 from completing successfully. This issue only affects insiders who are on Build 18356.16 and who are trying to update to Build 18362. Thank you for the insiders who have posted feedback on this subject in Feedback Hub and have been recruited – Your feedback was valuable to help troubleshoot this issue during our vacation the week! The team is currently working on a reform. In the meantime, Build 18362 will not be presented to insiders who are in Build 18356.16, so Insider computers will not continue to try Build 18362 and fail. We will post another update once the repair version and resume flight Build 18362. Thank you!
